We spent a couple of days at the weir and had a great time. The free camp is about 5 k from Mitchell, we set up right on the bank of the weir and watched the sunset over the water each night. There was plenty of firewood and a good opportunity to use the chainsaw. :-)
Almost a shame to leave as it was a beautiful site, easily the best free camp we have had so far.
